M2M Connectivity introduces Cradlepoint's AER 2100, the first in a new generation of cloud-managed 4G LTE networking solutions that helps enterprises increase bandwidth and reliability in a secure, flexible, and open-architecture platform. The AER 2100 is designed to offer reliable connectivity at the edge of a distributed enterprise. The customisable device extends management and security applications and lowers the total cost of ownership in a single deployment.
VIA currently offers 3G wireless service on its express routes, the Primo route and 11 transit centers. Beginning in September, the service will improve to 4G LTE and will be available on all VIA buses and properties. This service, which is being provided by Verizon and Cradlepoint, will also be installed on the paratransit fleet by November 1.
