Barcelona, Spain – 25 February, 2014 – Asavie Technologies today announced a strategic partnership with Cradlepoint to provide out-of-the-box secure connectivity for Cradlepoint’s networking devices. The branded solution, called Cradlepoint Secure Connect™, is the first cloud network as a service that allows secure, multi-operator private networks to be deployed and managed quickly and easily on a global scale.
“Companies of all sizes want to leverage the efficiency, visibility, and agility that come from today’s connected business,” said Ralph Shaw, Asavie CEO. “By delivering class-leading devices and secure, reliable connectivity in one package, Asavie and Cradlepoint accelerate deployment and enable real-time control of distributed mobile devices to connect businesses and systems faster.” Under the terms of the agreement, Cradlepoint devices will ship with built-in support for Cradlepoint Secure Connect™, which leverages Asavie’s PassBridge SDN (Software Defined Network). Out-of-the-box integration to PassBridge allows devices typically used for critical processes including Point-of-Sale systems, digital signage, and branch networking to be securely interconnected to customer infrastructure in minutes.
Cradlepoint’s cloud-managed 3G/4G/LTE networking solutions for distributed enterprises provide uncompromised performance for mission-critical applications that require the ability to diversify multiple WAN paths through 3G/4G, Ethernet (T-1, DSL, Cable, MetroE), and WiFi as WAN. Cradlepoint WAN Diversity™ enables a broad array of applications that may require standalone networks, increased bandwidth, or more reliability through redundant wired and wireless connections.
“With the continued growth and reliability of 4G LTE high-speed networks and cloud-based applications, distributed enterprises are implementing new network services that accelerate business processes, improve security and deliver higher availability,” said George Mulhern, Cradlepoint CEO. “With Cradlepoint Secure Connect, we’re enabling our customers to deploy multi-operator secure, private networking solutions on a global scale.”
Asavie’s platform seamlessly equips Cradlepoint devices with an integrated on-demand connectivity service that simplifies the deployment of Cradlepoint solutions within existing IT infrastructures. Cradlepoint Secure Connect delivers enterprise-class security, enabling businesses of all sizes to securely transmit their data and comply with exacting corporate governance and PCI Compliance 3.0 standards. Cradlepoint Secure Connect enabled devices can utilize a range of different Internet service providers globally to ensure that customers have access to the most flexible and effective solution. Cradlepoint Secure Connect devices can be setup in advance of delivery to streamline the deployment process, meaning that, on delivery, the device need only be powered on – all managed through a cloud network management solution.
Shaw highlighted the security and cloud service delivery of the PassBridge platform as key elements of the new partnership. “Critical to ensuring our customers’ success is the ability to securely add additional devices or new sites without delay. The PassBridge platform is scalable to millions of devices, so we can offer our customers unlimited flexibility in the knowledge that PassBridge will allow us to meet our commitments.”
With proven carrier-grade reliability, Asavie’s Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform already powers a range of services worldwide for leading mobile operators including AT&T, Vodafone and Telefónica.
