The Cradlepoint IBR900 and IBR1700 series rugged 4G vehicle routers have been approved for use on ESN.  Vehicle routers of this type are used to network enable a vehicle, create a Wi-Fi hotspot around the vehicle and connect remote IT equipment so that live critical intranet and Internet-based services can be brought out into the field at the site of an operation or incident.

One of the objectives of the programme delivering the Emergency Services Network is to ensure that the ESN customers have a wide range of certified and approved devices they can use on the new system that meets their diverse needs and operational requirements.  ESN Connect will be the first ESN service for live and operational use.  It is a secure 4G mobile data service offering priority use of the enhanced coverage, greater security and resilience that the new secure Emergency Services Network provides.

Ken Hosac, VP of IoT Strategy & Business Development at Cradlepoint, will be speaking at the BAPCO Annual Conference and Exhibition 2019 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, from the 12th –13th March.
