CREATE WiFi ANYWHERE YOU HAVE BROADBAND SIGNAL

The Wireless 3G/4G Router (MBR95) is the next generation of router technology from CradlePoint. Secure, powerful, and configurable, the MBR95’s most impressive feature is its ability to use 3G/4G USB modems to create instant networks anywhere there is a mobile broadband data signal. (Check with your service provider for local coverage information.)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Connect this router to a 3G/4G MOBILE MODEM and get more from your data plan. Most WiFi-enabled devices don’t support USB 3G/4G data modems. When you connect the modem to the MBR95, you can securely share your data plan with up to 32 people or devices (ideal conditions, low bandwidth use).

Or, connect this router to your existing DSL / CABLE / SATELLITE MODEM and add 600 feet of WiFi to your network (ideal conditions).

CradlePoint routers are built to work with most popular 3G/4G USB modems from: AT&T, Bell Canada, Clearwire, Cricket, Rogers, Sprint, T-Mobile, Telus, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, & Virgin Mobile, as well as most cable, DSL, and satellite providers.

Tech Specs

  • Wireless “N” WiFi (802.11n + legacy 802.11b/g, 2x2 MIMO, 300 Mbps)
  • Up to 600-feet of WiFi Range
  • Supports up to 32 WiFi Connections at a Time
  • Two WiFi Networks: 1 private SSID for owner, 1 public SSID for guests. Create a private, secure, and prioritized connection while sharing with others. Each network can have its own security settings.
  • Four Ethernet ports to connect directly to Ethernet-enabled devices
  • Special Feature: Use WiFi as a Data Source. “WiFi-as-WAN” mode enables the MBR95 to become a WiFi repeater (using existing WiFi to create secure connections) or use as a WiFi-to-Ethernet adapter for non-WiFi devices.

Features

Wireless or wired access

  • Enables wireless Internet access through 3G/4G mobile broadband networks, existing WiFi, or Ethernet-based data services (Cable / DSL / Satellite)
  • Supports most wireless data modems from the leading carriers (sold separately)
  • Increase the speed & performance of your 3G/4G connection: Place the MBR95 near a window of your home or office and use the signal strength LEDs to determine where your 3G/4G reception is best.

Secure

  • Create secure WiFi with best-in-class encryption
  • Prevent unwanted access to connected device
  • Includes security features for safer Internet
  • Hide your WiFi network name

Service, support, and warranty

  • Free firmware updates, one year hardware warranty. Up to two-year additional hardware warranty available.

Range and connection

Flexible

  • Passthrough VPN connection support enables a laptop with a VPN client to create a secure tunnel to corporate networks (IPSec, L2TP, PPTP)
  • When multiple Internet sources (4G/3G/Cable/DSL/Satellite modems) are connected to the MBR95, it will detect an Internet outage on the primary connection and switch to a secondary connection (aka: Failover / Failback)

Note: The MBR95 had very basic QoS features that were removed in FW 3.5.0. If that function is required please roll back to FW 3.4.1. Current products that support much more advanced QoS features are the MBR1400, CBR4x0, and COR IBR6x0.

Below is a list of carrier-supplied modems compatible with the MBR95.

MBR95

I recently purchased the MBR95 3G/4G USB Router. I had nothing but problems with previous routers as my modem is a Novatel U679 turbo stick. This router may cost a bit more but you get quality. All of my devices hooked up instantly.

Smokin Hot Router!

I bought this MBR95 router from the 3G store on sale last year and have used it exclusively for home internet access. I live in the country far enough out that I can't get cable and am too far from the closest CLEC for phone-line DSL. That leaves me with only satellite, 3G, 4G, and ugh - dial up... For the past year, I've attached an AT&T USB 3G dongle but suffered with only slightly better than dial up speeds (HSPA+ is NOT 4G!). Last month, I bought a Novatel 4620L (Verizon) 4G LTE Jetpack (hotspot). I access the Jetpack via the MBR95's "Wan via Wifi" option, since the MBR95 for some reason won't recognize my 4620L USB tether. At least I was able to retire my old Pep Wave device. The MBR95's setup, configuration screens, and overall administration is a breeze! This is about my 10th router, and it's by far the best. Just wish CP would consider updating the firmware to update the old Mifi 2200 scripts for the MUCH more robust 4620L.
