BOISE, Idaho — Oct. 25, 2019 — Cradlepoint, the global leader in cloud-delivered LTE and 5G Ready wireless edge solutions, will be exhibiting at the 126th Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference and Exposition. Cradlepoint is a major provider of wireless edge solutions for mission-critical cellular communications for public safety and first responder agencies around the country with support for FirstNet and other nationwide public safety networks.
Taking place in Chicago this year, the IACP Conference and Expo is the largest law enforcement event of the year, attracting more than 16,000 public safety professionals to learn about industry trends and equip their department for success. The conference focuses on three tenants – training, networking and exhibit hall education – and welcomes more than 600 vendors to showcase products and services that assist the law enforcement profession.
Cradlepoint will be located at booth #4623 in the IACP exhibit hall. The team will be on site to discuss how Cradlepoint can help police officers get their departments on the “Pathway to 5G” and how they can overcome common barriers to technology. The team will also be available to answer questions about the benefits its technology can provide to a police department and share use cases. One example includes how Nevada Highway Patrol troopers are able to access their most important technologies throughout the scene of an emergency by using Cradlepoint’s NetCloud-powered in-vehicle LTE routers.
“We’re very excited to be attending and exhibiting at IACP again this year,” said Estee Woods, director of Public Sector and Public Safety Marketing, Cradlepoint. “In 2019, the public sector market has been one of the key focus areas for Cradlepoint, and we’ve seen our public safety customer base grow to more than 3,000 first responder agencies – a 200 percent year-over-year increase. Technology is transforming the everyday life of police officers, and our mission is to provide every department with secure and reliable connectivity, whether in-station, in-vehicle or in-field.”
Cradlepoint is also announcing at IACP a series of free educational round tables and sessions for public safety workers on strategies for mission-critical communications. The series will touch on digital transformation for public safety agencies, in-vehicle connectivity, 5G and LTE and how to overcome challenges and gain technology buy-in from decision makers. The first session will take place on Nov. 6 in Oak Brook, Illinois, the second on Dec. 5 in Atlanta and the third on Dec. 11 or 12 in Los Angeles.
