A Word With George Mulhern of Cradlepoint

George Mulhern is CEO and chairman of the board at Cradlepoint, a Boise company that provides a platform for wireless WAN networking. Mulhern spent 20 years at Hewlett Packard, ending as a senior vice president in charge of the company’s laserjet global business unit. He was also a partner with Highway 12 Ventures, a Boise-based venture capital fund.

When Mulhern arrived at Cradlepoint in 2011, the company had about 95 employees. Now it has around 330, 85 percent of them in Boise, and recently consolidated most of its workers from six different buildings into larger quarters in the Boise Cascade building in downtown Boise. Mulhern expects to hire another 150 people in the next 12 to 18 months.

Cloud-managed 4G LTE networking solutions provider Cradlepoint announced several new executive hires to its sales leadership team, including Dan DesRosiers as vice president of Sales West, Jeff Manning as vice president of Sales East and Ed Walton as vice president of Channel and Alliances. Each is responsible for increasing revenue and market share growth for the company.

Cradlepoint's New CTO Poised To Lead Internet Of Things

Fast growing wireless networking solutions company Cradlepoint is stocking up on industry veterans including security specialist Ryan Allphin as its new CTO after 13 years at Intel. Allphin comes to Cradlepoint with a robust security resume. His last role at Intel was as senior vice president and general manager of the Security Management Business Unit responsible for worldwide research and development, product management and business go-to-market programs for security management, data and risk analytics, threat intelligence and compliance solutions.
