When to submit for brand review

Our goal is to make it easy for marketing teams to move quickly while protecting the integrity of our brand.

If you’re unsure whether your asset needs review, use the guidance below.

When you NEED a brand review:

1. It’s not built from an approved template

If the asset was created from scratch — or significantly modified beyond the template — please submit it for review. This includes:

  • New landing page designs
  • Event graphics
  • Unique campaign visuals
  • New layout structures

2. It was created by a vendor

If a third-party agency or contractor created the asset (even if direction was provided), it must be reviewed before launch. External partners may not be fully aligned with:

  • Ericsson brand standards
  • Updated visual systems
  • Tone and messaging guardrails
  • AI usage guidance

Brand review ensures consistency and protects everyone involved.

3. You’re introducing something new

Submit for review if you are introducing:

  • A new visual treatment
  • A new headline framework or messaging angle
  • A new iconography or illustration style

If it’s new, it needs alignment.

When you don’t need a brand review:

  • You are using an approved corporate or team-provided template
  • You are not modifying layout, typography, or visual treatments
  • You are using imagery from approved libraries
  • You are not introducing new claims or positioning

Template-based work is designed for self-serve execution. If you’re staying within the system, you’re good to go!

When in doubt — ask

If you’re unsure whether review is required, reach out before launching. A quick check can prevent last-minute rework or escalation. We would always rather answer a question early than fix something later.

Why this matters

Our brand is still evolving within the broader Ericsson ecosystem. Every asset contributes to how we’re perceived — internally and externally.

Consistency builds credibility.
Clarity builds trust.
Strong execution builds momentum.

We’re here to help you put our best foot forward.

How long will it take?

For a standard brand review, we request 2–3 business days to process your request and provide feedback.

What if I need an expedited review?

If your timeline is shorter than the standard SLA:

  • Please indicate this in your submission. (Recommendation: add URGENT to your request name.)
  • Expedited reviews are not guaranteed and depend on current team capacity.
  • Repeated urgent requests may require a planning discussion.
  • Sourcing assets, like photography, if your brand review is not compliant can result in a delayed turnaround time.

Planning ahead ensures smoother launches for everyone.
