Case study creation FAQ copy page link

Q. Who sources the customer?

A Anyone within BEWS can find customers for case studies and initiate the process for case study creation.

Q. What makes a good case study candidate?

A Look for customers who:

  • Had a clear challenge or pain point
  • Achieved measurable success using our solution
  • Are open to being named and quoted publicly
  • Represent a key vertical, use case, or strategic industry

Q. Who should approach the customer?

A The first step in initiating the case study process is to request the customer’s permission for an interview. The employee responsible for approaching the customer is the employee who wants to create the case study.

Q. What’s the process once the customer has agreed to conducting the case study?

A Submit a request to the Digital Marketing team requesting a customer interview.

Note that only BEWS employees may make this request!

Include:

  • A brief overview of the customer story
  • How is this story relevant to BEWS
  • Contact information for the customer and internal stakeholders
  • Any deadlines or target publish dates

Q. Do I need to conduct the customer interview myself?

A No. The employee who is requesting the case study should set expectations with the customer that a member of our case study team will reach out within 7-10 days to schedule an interview.

The Digital Marketing team member will schedule the interview and will provide the interview questions to the customer.

The Digital Marketing team member will then conduct the interview and the requestor does not need to be present for the interview. However, the requestor can also assist with follow-up if the writer is unable to reach the customer.

Q. Do I need to get consent from the customer for legal purposes?

A No. The BEWS Legal team has provided Digital Marketing with a consent email template and will send it to the customer when requesting the interview. The consent will be saved on a Sharepoint site for any BEWs team members to access.

Q. How long does the creative process take once submitted?

A Once the customer interview has been conducted, the creative team typically requires:

  • 1-2 weeks for formatting a story based on the BEWS case study structure
  • 5-7 business days for design layout and review, depending on queue status
  • Additional time may be needed for customer approval and/or legal review

Q. When do I know the case study is complete?

A After the case study is finalized, the PDF will be posted to https://resources.cradlepoint.com/ and all stakeholders will be notified.
