Case study creation FAQ copy page link

Q. Who sources the customer?

A Anyone within Ericsson can find customers for case studies and initiate the process for case study creation.

Q. What makes a good case study candidate?

A Look for customers who:

  • Had a clear challenge or pain point
  • Achieved measurable success using our solution
  • Are open to being named and quoted publicly
  • Represent a key vertical, use case, or strategic industry

Q. What’s the process once a good case study candidate has been identified?

A Submit a request to the Digital Marketing team requesting a customer interview.

Note that only BEWS employees may make this request!

Include:

  • A brief overview of the customer story
  • How is this story relevant to BEWS
  • Contact information for the customer and internal stakeholders
  • Any deadlines or target publish dates

Q. Who should approach the customer?

A The employee initiating the case study should approach the customer to gauge interest, introduce the Digital Marketing team member via email and set expectations with the customer that Digital Marketing will reach out within 7-10 days to schedule the interview.

Q. Do I need to get consent from the customer for legal purposes?

A The employee initiating the case study should obtain consent from the customer via email and provide to Digital Marketing. With consent, Digital Marketing is in the clear to now proceed with scheduling and conducting the interview. The following verbiage has been provided by the BEWS Legal Team for email consent:

Hi [Customer’s Name],

We’ve been reflecting on the great work we did together on [Project Name], and we’d love to highlight it as a case study to share some of the success and insights.

Before we move forward, we want to make sure you’re comfortable with it. We are happy to send you a draft for review before anything is published, and of course, we’ll incorporate any feedback you have.

Let us know if you’re open to it—and if there’s anything specific you’d like us to include or avoid.

Thanks again for the collaboration!

This consent will be saved in a shared folder for Legal team access.

Q. Who should be part of the interview process?

A The Digital Marketing team member (and other Marekting team members, as needed) will then conduct the interview and the requestor does not need to be present for the interview. However, the requestor can also assist with follow-up if the writer is unable to reach the customer.

Q. How long does production take once the customer has been interviewed?

A Here’s a standard timeline for the production process:

  • 1-2 weeks for formatting a story based on the BEWS case study structure
  • 5-7 business days for design layout and review, depending on queue status
  • Additional time may be needed for customer approval and/or legal review

Note that other factors may affect this timeline.

Q. When do I know the case study is complete?

A After the case study is finalized, the PDF will be posted to https://resources.cradlepoint.com/ and all stakeholders will be notified.
